Celebrating 50 years of inclusion. The next 50 starts here.
For 50 years, Special Olympics Australia has opened doors through sport – creating opportunity, confidence and belonging for people with intellectual disability and/or autism.
Now as we enter our most important era yet, the opportunity is even greater. The next 50 years will be defined by growth, visibility and impact, ensuring more athletes than ever can discover their strengths, find their community and thrive through sport.
By donating today, you are helping to empower athletes to play, compete and shine - not just on the field, but in every part of their lives, for years to come.
Why Special Olympics Australia
Special Olympics Australia is part of a global movement improving inclusion through sports for people with intellectual disability and/or autism. We don’t just play the game, we change the game. We are a movement where no one is left behind, and everyone plays, competes and thrives.
Sports and Games
Special Olympics Australia offers 22 Olympic-type sports training and competitions for children and adults of all ages and ability levels - from weekly local grassroots activities, to State, National and World Games.
Athlete Leadership
Through hands-on training, our leadership work invests in people with intellectual disability and/or autism so they can learn new skills off the playing field and become leaders in their communities and the Special Olympics movement.
Changing Lives
Special Olympics Australia changes the lives of our athletes with intellectual disability and/or autism, but also our coaches, families, volunteers and others who have the opportunity to take part.
