Inspirational Women’s Breakfast is Special Olympics Australia’s annual networking breakfast celebrating the inspirational and powerful women from Australian society. Join us to meet and hear from iconic women who will share insights on their life and our times and help us raise funds for people with intellectual disabilities.

Special Olympics provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympics-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.

Carolyn Campbell
Sport NSW Chair, Director of Volleyball Australia

Carolyn is an experienced Executive and Non-Executive Director with over 30 years experience in the sports sector.
Sport has played a key role in Carolyn’s life particularly hockey that evolved from player, coach, umpire through to administrator.
For 15 years she was the CEO of Netball NSW, NSW Swifts and Giants Netball and recently undertook a contract role as Interim CEO Basketball Australia.
She is the Chair of Sport NSW and Director of Volleyball Australia, Bankstown Sports Club, Hockey One and a member of Chief Executive Women.

Ellie Brush
Australian sportswoman

Ellie Brush is an Australian sportswoman who plays Football (Soccer) for Sydney FC in the Australian A-League Women. She has represented Australia in Football in the Matildas team, making her debut in 2009. Ellie has played Football internationally in Norway and the USA. She has also played Australian rules football for Greater Western Sydney in the AFL Women's (AFLW). Ellie is a trained physiotherapist.

Roz White
Co-owner of White’s IGA

Roz White is an award-winning business leader with 28 years’ experience, a charity volunteer and leading advocate for various industry groups. Roz is the co-owner of White’s IGA employing 400 people in the Sunshine Coast community.
Roz is a current member the University of the Sunshine Coast Foundation Board and USC Business School External Academic Advisory Committee, a past board director of Montrose Therapy & Respite Services, advisory member of the Queensland Community Foundation (Sunshine Coast) and Immediate Past President of the Sunshine Coast Business Women’s Network.
Roz has been a volunteer and supporter within the disability sector for 10 years and an employer of people of all abilities for two decades. ‘Building a cohesive team culture supports inclusivity so everyone feels respected and valued but by strengthening our differences we encompass and embrace our whole community.’

Peter Overton AM
Australian Television Journalist

Respected journalist Peter Overton joined Special Olympics Australia as our first ambassador in 2001 and today he is a regular at events. Peter says, ‘Special Olympics Australia is a great organisation that makes a difference to the lives of so many people. I'm always inspired by the achievements of athletes, amazed at the skills of my fellow volunteers and proud of the great sponsors and donors that share their support. I’m pleased to have found a rewarding role at Special Olympics Australia and I hope more people do too.’

Can't Attend?        Make a donation in lieu

Should this event be postponed due to a COVID lockdown or restriction, Special Olympics Australia will do its best to provide guests with as much notice as possible regrading an alternate event date. Your ticket purchase will be honoured and carried forward to the new event date. Should you or your guests not be available to attend the new event date, you can send someone in your place, or Special Olympics Australia will provide you with a tax-deductible receipt for your ticket purchase or a refund.
