Inclusion in sport matters because everyone deserves to play!

Inclusion in sport is essential because it fosters a sense of belonging, boosts self-esteem, and encourages social interaction. When everyone gets a chance to participate, we not only celebrate diversity but also enrich the sporting experience for all. By creating inclusive environments, we can inspire athletes of all abilities to reach their potential, showcasing the incredible strength and resilience that comes from teamwork and camaraderie.

Making sports inclusive for people with autism is particularly important as it opens doors to new opportunities and connections. Sports can serve as a powerful tool for developing social skills, enhancing communication, and promoting physical health. When we adapt our programs to welcome individuals on the autism spectrum, we not only empower them to thrive but also cultivate a more compassionate and understanding community. Everyone deserves to play, and through inclusion, we can create a vibrant and supportive sporting landscape for all!

I'm making a SPLASH

I’m competing in the SPLASH corporate swim challenge to raise funds to support the incredible work of Special Olympics Australia.

Special Olympics Australia brings joy, fun and friendship to people with intellectual disability and autism through sport, leadership, health and lifestyle programs.  

By being accepted, included and supported, people with intellectual disability and autism have the opportunity to reach their personal best. It can be life-changing for them and their families.
