I’m freezin’ for a reason!
This year, I’m taking the plunge - literally. I’m jumping into icy water as part of the Law Enforcement Torch Run’s Polar Plunge, raising funds for Special Olympics in Australia.
Special Olympics Australia provides year-round sports training and competition for people with intellectual disability and/or autism.
I started with Special Olympics since 1996 and throughout that time, I’ve made lots of friends and had some wonderful experiences. I’ve played a number of different sports have represented at State and National level. My greatest experience was representing Australia in Shanghai for athletics where I achieved gold and bronze medals.
Yes, it will be cold … very cold. But it’ll be worth it!
