Melbourne Eastern Ranges: National Games 2026

National Games 2026

Special Olympics Melbourne Eastern Ranges is a volunteer-run club giving athletes with intellectual disabilities and autism the chance to compete, grow, and belong through sport.

This year, two big things are happening at once. Special Olympics Australia turns 50, and Melbourne is hosting the National Games this October. It is shaping up to be a historic occasion for the whole movement.

We are raising funds to send 34 of our athletes to compete across five sports at those National Games. These are people who train every week, show up with everything they have, and genuinely love what they do. Getting to represent their club and their state on a national stage means the world to them and their families.

Your donation goes directly toward making that possible. Funds help keep participation costs manageable for families, cover competition entry fees and travel, and ensure our volunteer coaches have the resources they need to keep sessions running well.

If you would like to support a specific athlete, you can find individual fundraising pages on the ASF website by searching Special Olympics. Every contribution, at any amount, makes a real difference to someone who has worked hard to earn their spot.

Thank you for being part of this.
