World Winter Games 2025

Team Australia in Perisher

Last week, I went to Perisher with the other 13 athletes representing Australia in skiing and snowboarding in the Special Olympic World Winter Games next year.

We lived and trained together for the week with the support team who will come with us to Turin. It was great fun and I learned a lot, including a way of skiing to make me faster.

We competed in the Australian Interschool Multiclass race and the training tips paid off, I scored a gold medal in the Special Olympics Advanced 2 division. 

Best of all though, it was lots of fun with my friends.

Against All Odds

When Miki was 9 days old her heart stopped and her life was touch and go for a long time. She was on a heart lung bypass machine for weeks and was critically ill for months.

The Royal Children's Hospital staff were incredible and we were lucky enough to keep our Angel child.

20 years later, her incredible resilience, persistence and endless positive outlook sees her off to Turin, skiing for Australia in the Special Olympic World Winter Games. 

We couldn't be prouder. 

Will you get me to the World Winter Games? 

I feel proud and excited to represent Australia at the Special Olympics World Winter Games in Turin, Italy from 8-16 March 2025.

It will be my first World Winter Games experience and I love Italy!

Two of my aunties are Italian, I've visted Rome and I love pasta. 

But, I need to raise $14,000 to get to there.

That’s a lot of money and I'd like your help!
