2026 Newington College Mini Olympics

As part of Newington College’s Service Learning Program the Social & Fundraising Committee at Lindfield, together with the Lindfield P&F, will again host a Mini Olympics to raise much-needed funds for Special Olympics Australia.

The Mini Olympics is always a great day where Year 6 students and Special Olympics Australia athletes guide students from all years through several sports stations before their fundraising efforts are revealed and a cheque is presented to Special Olympics Australia.

The Mini Olympics is held on the Lindfield campus and is an important way for students to experience the joy of inclusion and share the importance of giving. 
Since the event began in 2015, the school has raised over $137,000 to give athletes with intellectual disability and autism opportunities to play sport and follow their sporting dreams.

It has allowed hundreds of Special Olympics athletes to represent Australia and show what they can do when given support, encouragement and the chance to have a go. Many others continue to grow and reach their personal best now that they’ve found a place to belong.
