Top Tips for Fundraising

Fundraising Tips

Ask

Donors give for many reasons, but the number one reason is because they’re asked. You can ask in person or via email, phone, text, social media, and even snail mail if you're so inclined.

Don’t Be Shy!

Add a profile picture to your fundraising page. It can be a picture of you, an avatar or a furry friend. Whatever you choose, people who include a picture raise more money!

Jazz up Your Story

Personalise your story and keep updating your supporters through your blog!

Lead the Way

Lead the way and donate to yourself first. It encourages others to support you on your fundraising journey! No-one wants to be the first to donate.

Set expectations

A self-donation is a guide to your donors of how much to give. Go high or low, people will follow.

Share! Share! Share!

The more you share, the more likely you are to receive donations.

Use your network

Ask your employer to dollar match employee donations! If you don’t ask, you don’t get.
