Special Olympics Asia Pacific has invited eight Australian athletes to compete in bocce and tenpin bowling at an invitational event to be held in New Delhi, India in November 2024.
The event offers more mature athletes (30+), and those who have never represented their country, an opportunity to experience the thrill of international competition and the joy of being part of a travelling team.
But to compete at these Games, each athlete needs to raise almost $4,000 to cover the cost of flights, uniforms, insurance and 24/7 support, including assistance with medications and any medical needs throughout the tour.
