Make a splash!
Are you ready to make a SPLASH? Gather your team and get ready to race in our swim challenge. It’s an afternoon of fun, high-fives and exhilaration as you race against other teams to be crowned SPLASH champions; all while raising vital funds for Special Olympics Australia.
How it Works
SPLASH pitches your team against other corporate teams in a fun swim challenge while raising money for Special Olympics Australia. It’s a great team-building activity where you and your workmates have the chance to swim with an Olympian and show your commitment to inclusion!
SPLASH format
- Your team of eight compete in 400m freestyle relays.
- The top two teams in each heat advance to the final race.
- The top fundraising team has first choice of an Olympian to join them.
- Finalists compete, the crowd roars, the winning team is crowned!
Getting Started is Easy
1. Choose a captain and decide on a team name.
2. Register your team and pay the entry fee.
3. Invite team members to join and set up their fundraising page.
4. Tell everyone and ask them to sponsor your swim.
5. Start fundraising. The fundraising target for each team is $10,000.
6. Make a splash!

We don’t just play the game, we change the game.
Special Olympics Australia is so much more than sport. It’s a movement grounded in the belief that everyone, regardless of ability, deserves the opportunity to thrive.
While some go on to represent Australia on the world stage, for many, the impact happens closer to home on local courts, fields, and clubs where they build confidence, friendships, and purpose.
But that impact doesn’t happen by chance. It happens because of people like you.
Why Special Olympics Australia?
Special Olympics Australia is part of a global movement improving inclusion through sports for people with intellectual disability and/or autism. We don’t just play the game, we change the game. We are a movement where no one is left behind, and everyone plays, competes and thrives.
