I made it to Nationals!!

Last year, a lot of my friends generously sponsored me in the Special Olympics Polar Plunge, and I have never forgotten your kindness and support. At that time, I was working hard and hoping to achieve my goal of being selected for the National Games.

I’m so proud and excited to share I have just been told I have been officially selected to compete in the 2026 Special Olympics National Games in Melbourne this October, representing NSW in Ten Pin Bowling. There will be 197 athletes from NSW competing across 12 sports, and it means so much to me to be one of them. I especially wanted to share this news with you because your support was part of what helped me get here. Knowing that people believed in me encouraged me to keep training, keep pushing forward, and keep believing in myself.

Now I must start again to raise money to get me there.  So excited.

I’m freezin’ for a reason!

This year, I’m taking the plunge - literally. I’m jumping into icy water as part of the Law Enforcement Torch Run’s Polar Plunge, raising funds for Special Olympics in Australia.

Why? Because every Australian deserves the opportunity to experience the joy, confidence and connection that sport brings.

Special Olympics Australia provides year-round sports training and competition for people with intellectual disability and/or autism. Through sport, athletes build skills, friendships, independence and belief in themselves - and that impact extends far beyond the playing field.

By supporting my Polar Plunge, you’re helping:

  • Provide coaching, equipment and competition opportunities
  • Create communities where everyone belongs
  • Break down barriers and build a more inclusive Australia
