31st March 2026 Buster's first chemo!

Buster got a real good flushin' before getting the purple stuff! Buster sacrificed his beloved mullet by paying forward, due to a stage 5 cancer diagnosis, to raise money for local athletes with intellectual disability and autism.

19th March 2026 Buster's #mulletchop happened!

Buster said he would donate his luscious locks and sacrifice his mullet he has had for 54 years for a good cause.  Buster was recently diagnosed with stage 5 cancer with chemo to start the week after next so he said his beloved mullet will go on his terms!  Huge thank you to Heath Paton HPFM for your support in making sure guidelines were followed to enable Buster to donate his ponytail plaits to become wigs for people going through medically induced hair-loss conditions. 4 Amigos Beards and #mulletchop

Special Olympics Mackay Fire is part of a global movement using the power of sport to build a more inclusive world for people with intellectual disability and autism.  Mackay locals are banding together to fundraise for athletes of Mackay Fire by sacrificing their beloved beards and much loved mullet, for a price! 

That price is $20,000 so donate today to reach their goal for local athletes with intellectual disability and autism to strive to reach their personal best.  

Mackay Fire volunteer Buster is paying  forward his #mulletchop due to a recent diagnosis of stage 5 cancer with chemo to commence Tuesday 31st March 2026.  Buster waves bye bye to his luscious locks and magnificient mullet on his terms.

Local business owners, Anthony from Sorbellos Italian Restaurant and Kahn from the club's strength gym, ZeroW Mackay along with Mackay Fire athlete Frank will be sacrificing their beards Saturday 31^st October 2026 so watch this space for details!
