Keesja Gofers

At the 2024 Paris Olympics Games, Keesja won a silver medal with the Stingers - the most successful Australian water polo team ever at an overseas Olympic Games.

Bradley Woodward

Bradley will be gracing the pool for SPLASH Sydney fresh from representing Australia at his first Olympic Games in Paris in 2024.

Nathan Power

Nathan will bring the power to the pool after captaining the Australian water polo team at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

Matthew Byrnes

This year, Matt made his Olympic debut as a member of the Australian water polo team at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

Matt Wilson

Matt captured gold and bronze in swimming at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and went on to represent Australia at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

Wes Roberts

Wes represented the Cook Islands in swimming at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games and 2020 Tokyo Olympics where he carried the Cook Islands flag into the Opening Ceremony.

Rod Owen-Jones

Rod is a champion water polo player who represented Australia at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.

Nick Falzon

Nick is a champion water polo player who represented the Australian Sharks over twenty times.

About SPLASH

SPLASH pitches your team against other corporate teams in a fun swim challenge while raising money for Special Olympics Australia. It’s a great team-building activity where you and your workmates have the chance to swim with an Olympian and show your commitment to inclusion!

SPLASH format

  • Your team of eight compete in 400m freestyle relays.
  • The top two teams in each heat advance to the final race.
  • The top fundraising team has first choice of an Olympian to join them.
  • Finalists compete, the crowd roars, the winning team is crowned!

Getting started is easy!

  1. Choose a captain and decide on a team name.
  2. Register your team and pay the entry fee.
  3. Invite team members to join and set up their fundraising page.
  4. Tell everyone and ask them to sponsor your swim.
  5. Start fundraising. The fundraising target for each team is $10,000.
