I'm Freezin' for a Reason... Again!

If you know me, you know there are two things I absolutely hate: being cold and getting into cold water.

So naturally, I've signed up for the Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunge again!

I took the plunge last year and, despite the absolutely freezing water, it turned out to be an incredible day. The atmosphere, the people, and most importantly the cause, made every shiver worthwhile. Apparently, I've forgotten just how cold it was, because here I am doing it all over again.

This year I'll once again be jumping into icy water to raise funds for Special Olympics Australia.

Special Olympics Australia provides year-round sports training and competition opportunities for people with intellectual disability and/or autism. Through sport, athletes build confidence, friendships, independence and life skills that extend well beyond the sporting field.

By sponsoring my plunge, you'll help:

• Fund inclusive sports programs across Australia
• Provide coaching, equipment and competition opportunities
• Create communities where everyone belongs
• Break down barriers and build a more inclusive Australia

Will the water be freezing? Absolutely.

Will I regret my life choices for a few moments? Probably.

Is it worth it? Without a doubt.
