🥶❄️ Armidale SES is taking the Polar Plunge this July! ❄️🥶
This year, Armidale NSW SES members are joining colleagues from across the state to take part in the Polar Plunge, supporting Special Olympics Australia and raising awareness of the importance of inclusion through sport.
While some participants will be hopping into chilly water, Armidale volunteers are preparing for an extra challenge, with expected water temperatures around 10°C!
For one day only, our members will be swapping the comfort of their wetsuits for a very brisk dip in the coldest conditions we can find!
We're also hoping our own Swiftwater Rescue operators won't need rescuing once they realise just how cold the water really is. 😄
Special Olympics Australia provides year-round sporting opportunities for people with intellectual disability and autism, helping build confidence, skills and lifelong friendships.
We're proud to stand alongside fellow SES volunteers across NSW and support a more inclusive community.
