I’m freezin’ for a reason!
This year, I am taking the plunge - literally. I’m jumping into icy water (well as icy as it gets in Brisbane in July) as part of the Law Enforcement Torch Run’s Polar Plunge, raising funds for Special Olympics in Australia.
Why? Because those that know me, know this is a long time association as a volunteer and staff member.
Special Olympics Australia provides year-round sports training and competition for people with intellectual disability and/or autism. Through sport, athletes build skills, friendships, independence and belief in themselves - and that impact extends far beyond the playing field.
By supporting my Polar Plunge, you’re supporting the athlete leaders of Special Olympics to showcase their skills and abilities off the sporting field.
Athlete leaders will be ambassadors at the SOA National Games in October later this year and I want to support their leadership journey by plunging! Hoping for your help.
Yes, it will be cold … very cold. But it’ll be worth it!
If you can, please donate and help me reach my fundraising goal. Every dollar makes a difference and please feel free to share.
Thanks for your support!
