I’m freezin’ for a reason!

This year, I’m taking the plunge - literally. I’m jumping into icy water (well as icy cold as it gets in Brisbane in July)  as part of the Law Enforcement Torch Run’s Polar Plunge, raising funds for Special Olympics in Australia.

Why? Because those of you who know me know that this a longtime passion of mine and I am plunging to support athlete leadership.

Special Olympics Australia provides year-round sports training and competition for people with intellectual disability and/or autism. Through sport, athletes build skills, friendships, independence and belief in themselves - and that impact extends far beyond the playing field.

By supporting my Polar Plunge, you’re supporting the athlete leaders of Special Olympics. There will be a team of athlete ambassadors at the National Games in October and I am supporting their leadership journey to ensure they can showcase their leadership and ambassador skills to the SO community, their families, friends and the broader community.

Yes, it will be cold … very cold. But it’ll be worth it!

If you can, please donate and help me reach my fundraising goal. Every dollar makes a difference. Please feel free to share amongst your friends.
