It's about the Athletes......

Athletes trained hard to get to the SOA National Games in Tasmania and they are continuing to train hard to perform at their best at the SOI World Summer Games in Berlin2023. As Head of Delegation for Team Australia, I would love to see my friends get behind the athletes and support them.

For many of the athletes it is the first time for international travel and for 90% it is the first time wearing the green and gold and representing Australia. Soooo much pride. 

One of the Team Australia athletes is Alex Baker. I have known Alex since 2008 and to go World Games was always a goal. When he received his letter offering him a place on the Team, he messaged me straight away. I could hear the excitement in his message. I am beyond excited to share this trip with Alex and the 63 other athletes traveling to Berlin. He was also pretty excited that I was HoD which was lovely.

Help Team Australia get to the World Games 

As a volunteer official, I'm proud to support the 64 athletes chosen to represent Australia at the Special Olympics World Summer Games in Berlin.

To be part of Team Australia they each need to raise $9,000 to wear the green and gold. That’s a lot of money…but we can help!

I’ve set a fundraising target of $3,500 to support the Team.

$92 represents the whole team
