In 2026, Special Olympics will celebrate 50 years of changing lives through sport in Australia - and there’s no better way to mark this milestone than with our biggest national event.
From October 19-23, athletes from every corner of the country will come together in Melbourne, competing across 12 sports at the iconic Albert Park sporting precinct.
The 2026 Special Olympics Australia National Games will be a celebration of courage, connection, and community, shining a light on the power of inclusion.
Whether it’s on the track, in the pool, or cheering from the sidelines, the Games are a reminder of what’s possible when we come together to support each other.
