I am continuing to train twice a week, and will be heading to Batemans Bay in July to compete in a regional carnival, this will help me practice my racing skills ready for nationals in OctoberHelp our swim team get to the national games, i have been selected and so excited as its my first Nationals and I am proud to represent my club and state.
This year, I’m taking the plunge - literally. I’m jumping into icy water as part of the Law Enforcement Torch Run’s Polar Plunge, raising funds for Special Olympics in Australia.
Why? Because every Australian deserves the opportunity to experience the joy, confidence and connection that sport brings.
Special Olympics Australia provides year-round sports training and competition for people with intellectual disability and/or autism. Through sport, athletes build skills, friendships, independence and belief in themselves - and that impact extends far beyond the playing field.
